Obedience Is the Language of Intimacy

John 14:23; 1 Samuel 15:22

"If a man love me, he will keep my words.", John 14:23

"To obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.", 1 Samuel 15:22

Truth: Hear me, beloved, you do not get more of God by praying harder. You get more of God by obeying faster. Saul prayed and sacrificed. Samuel cut him off mid-worship: "to obey is better than sacrifice."

Practice today: Identify one thing the Spirit told you last week that you have not done. Do it today. Don't reason it. Don't reschedule it. Do it.

Declaration: I am quick to obey. Delayed obedience is disobedience.
