Your reading life belongs to you. LOTK has no ads and does not follow you around the web. We keep only the information needed to provide the features you choose, and we never sell it.
Who we are
Legacy of the Kingdom (“LOTK,” “we,” “us”) operates this Bible reader, magazine, and private journal. This policy explains what information we hold, why we hold it, and the choices you have. It applies to the website and any apps we publish under the same name.
What we collect
We keep the data set deliberately small. In practice, that means:
- Your account details: your name and email address, along with the information needed to let you sign in safely. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile image from Google. We never see your Google password.
- Content you create or save: bookmarks, highlights, notes, journal entries, reading-plan progress, your last-read position, and saved articles.
- Basic records that keep LOTK working: information that helps us protect the service and fix problems. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.
What we don't do
We do not run advertising or follow you around the web. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Nothing you write in your journal is used to decide what to show you or to teach automated systems. If we ever offer an optional writing assistant, it will remain off until you choose to use it.
Your journal is private
Your journal entries are protected while they are stored. LOTK staff do not read them, and your writing is never used to influence what you see. Voice notes become text on your device before you save them. We open an entry only when you sign in to view or search your own journal. This protection is not the same as end-to-end encryption.
How we use your data
We use the information above to sign you in, make your saved reading and writing available on your devices, protect your account, and respond when you contact us. That is the whole list.
Service providers
A small number of trusted companies help us keep LOTK online and offer Google sign-in. They may handle information only as needed to provide those services for us. We choose providers who do not use your data for their own advertising.
Cookies
We use only the cookies required to keep you signed in and remember your preferences, such as your theme and chosen translation. There are no advertising cookies or cookies that follow you to other sites.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual journal entries, notes, and highlights at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and the data tied to it. Once deleted, content is removed from your account. Routine backup copies are cleared over time.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain uses of it. To exercise any of these, reach out and we'll help.
Children
Legacy of the Kingdom is intended for readers aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll revise the date above and, for material changes, give notice within the app. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the revised policy.
